Travel is the New University
The rules have changed.
Go to school. Get an education. Get good grades. Never stop learning. Go to college or university. Travel. Get a good job. Create your own job. Pay your student loans. Earn money anywhere. Pay your dues. Make a contribution. Retire. Never stop doing what you love.
Travel. (They got this one right, even if it’s a little late.)
It’s time to shift our worldview.
The size of the globe is shrinking. Our time to expand has come. We now live in a ‘global village.’ This is no time to stay in your little corner of the earth.
Travel offers an education that can’t be recreated in a room with four walls or on any campus.
Travel is the new university. (Click to tweet)
It offers courses in culture, history, communications, culinary arts, foreign language, literature, creativity, community, persistence.
Travel creates flexibility, fosters confidence, the ability to ‘think on your feet’. It teaches adaptability, and how to work with people. It nurtures tolerance, open-mindedness, and broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things.
Really, it’s not about the travel. Travel is simply the method for reaching the outcome — the personal transformation that is extracted from your mind and your soul. It teaches us to be members and leaders of a new international community. Travel shows us how to live and interact with those who hold contrasting beliefs and speak differing languages. It removes the prejudices that are a byproduct of limited boundaries.
This will be the driving force behind creating a united and peaceful world.
The essence of travel is experiential expansion. With the expanded, global worldview that this new university provides, we are able to gain a proper perspective about life and it’s challenges, contrasting our problems with those we encounter outside our corner of the earth.
When you travel, you cross not only political borders, but psychological ones as well. Travel is fatal to the inability to cope with change. It strengthens personal values while nurturing tolerance. It gives you a broader perspective with which to identify ‘truth’ from cultural preference.
Travel provides an education that changes who you are. It supplies experiences that will alter the way you think.
You will never be the same. It will transform your life, if you let it.
Enrollment now open. What are you waiting for?
